Sarah Biglan: Sous Chef

Sarah Biglan was born in Philadelphia, PA into a family of six children.  At the age of seven her family moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey where her father was the Executive Chef of the Sands Hotel and Casino.  Her mother also ran a small deli and it was there where her culinary interest sparked.  She often helped her mother after school and on Sundays you could find her in the kitchen with her father making daily specials for the week.  When she was nineteen she took her culinary interest to the South Pacific,  working in Hawaii for a bakery.  There she decided on more formal training and was accepted into the Culinary Institute of America and completed her internship with the Ritz Carlton, Naples.  Upon graduation, she accepted a job with the Ritz Carlton, Washington, DC where she worked as a roundsman throughout the hotel.  She comes to us from the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, working under Cityzen's,  Eric Ziebold since 2005.  She credits her love for food from her family and has a huge passion for football!  She resides in Alexandria, VA.
