Welcome

Come walk your way to a healthier heart! Join us for RIS Walk 60 starting tomorrow, February 1.

Chef Ris will walk the great streets of our city on weekdays from 12-1pm. Routes will start and end at RIS, 2275 L Street. (At the corner of L & 23rd.) Walk for your heart by spending 60 minutes a day with five great routes touring the streets of DC. Benefit the hearts being treated by the Women's Heart Center at GW University Hospital by donating $1 per mile walked. Dogs are welcome! Check facebook.com/risdc and twitter.com/risdc at 9am each day for route and weather cancellation information. What better time to start than February, American Heart Month!

Join RIS and our restaurant friends for sweets and sips on February 1 is the 11th annual Sugar & Champagne Affair! Hosted by Todd and Ellen Gray, this dessert and champagne reception honors our local crusaders against animal cruelty: Washington Humane Society’s Humane Law Enforcement Officers, Animal Control Officers, and Humane Educators.

Our very own Pastry Chef, Chris Kujala, will be serving his Passionfruit and Cardamon Meringue Parfait for guests on this occasion. He will be accompanied by his Japanese Chin, Cocoa. Bring your canine bestie - leashed dogs are welcome and encouraged to attend! Chris will have something special for those guests as well. Get your tickets here. Bubbles, treats and man's best friend? This will surely be a night to remember.
